Waiting times for unloading goods: what changes with Law 105/2025
Law No. 105 of 18 July 2025, which converted Decree-Law No. 73/2025 with amendments, was published in the Official Gazette. The law introduces important updates on waiting times for loading and unloading goods, with immediate effect for the entire freight transport sector.
The main changes concern:

the reduction of the free allowance from two hours to ninety minutes for each operation;

the introduction of compensation of €100 for each hour or fraction thereof exceeding the new limit, with automatic annual revaluation;

the definition of joint and several liability between the customer and the shipper in the payment of compensation.
